to benefit WAIM (the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry) Donation were offered at the door and $800.00 was raised in this one evening. We offer our thanks to all who participated and those who came to enjoy the music and talent. See the Music Committee report in our May Spire for more specific information.
Saturday, May 1, 7:00 a.m. 10:30a.m. – May Breakfast
was a success and left many smiling and satisfied for most of that day. Thank you to all who worked, ate, or supported this fundraiser in any way.
Spring Fling to benefit WAIM was a ball! Those in attendance enjoyed lively music and wonderful company. Lots of raffle items were shared amongst those participants. Thank you for your support of this worthy institution.
Stewardship and Missions News
Friday, June 4, 7:00 p.m., Recital – Max Rainwater 
Max has been playing violin since age six and currently studies at the Hartt School, University of Hartford. He plays in the CT Youth Symphony and has participated in All-State and Regional Music Festivals as well. In addition to being concertmaster in various middle and high school orchestras, he was a winner at the 2009 Young Artists Competition of the Windham Regional Arts Council. He is currently a senior at Windham High School, and will enter college in September, majoring in Violin Performance. Max has also been fiddling since age six, and he plays fiddle and mandolin with Full Gael, a traditional Irish band.
Faith Formation Forum to follow our normal service on Sunday June, 6th. Our guest pastor for this day will be Rev. Karen Ziel, who will also lead our forum. We'll be sharing a light lunch instead of our normal coffee hour. Members interested in hearing about the future of our church are invited to participate in this forum.
