SUNDAY SERVICE

First Congregational Church in Andover, Connecticut is a place of peace, offering a community of support and compassion for you wherever you are on your spiritual journey. We warmly invite you to worship with us on Sunday morning at 10:00 am, and to share in Christian fellowship and education with us.

OUR PRE-REVOLUTIONARY HISTORY

The First Congregation Church has continued to operate on a mission to serve the spiritual needs of our congregation and to serve the community around us. The Andover Food Pantry continues to be a resounding success, helping twice a week to provide for those who can use it. We have an active and lively congregation who eagerly welcome new guests and who will unconciously become part of our churches great history.

HOW ELSE CAN I GET INVOLVED?

We’d love you to get involved any way that you’d like. We’re a small congregation with a big heart. We have a number of organized programs to help serve the community – Programs such as the Andover Food Pantry. We have a number of groups, both formal and informal that meet to socialize and help each other embrace our faith.

We are glad that you have taken a moment to surf in and check us out. Andover Community Church is a United Methodist Congregation in east Lexington, Kentucky that seeks to present eternal truths in a more contemporary fashion than one might expect to find in church.

Why Andover might be right for you?

The Bible and its teachings are central to all that we do. It is the foundation of our preaching and teaching and gives direction to our outreach. We have active youth and children’s ministries which help our children to grow in their faith.

The praise band is designed to communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ and enhance our worship of God. We have adult educational opportunities to grow in our faith and knowledge of God year-round.

A unique, contemporary worship service is offered in a relaxed atmosphere which still retains our religious traditions. We believe everybody has talents to use for God’s glory and that there is a position available in our Church for anyone who wishes to use them. Everybody is welcome in our loving and caring fellowship of believers.

In a relaxed atmosphere, we praise and worship God through music that blends the best of the past with today’s best contemporary Christian music. God’s word is presented in a fashion that utilizes a mulit-sensory approach so that those present engage the living Spirit of God on many levels.

Our worship service ties together music and scripture in a way that both worships God and addresses many of the struggles that we face in life. Our desire in worship is to do nothing on Sunday morning that doesn’t make sense on Monday morning. In short, we are a church that understands the Christian faith as being a practical and integral part of our lives.

Our worship service, along with our learning opportunities on Sunday morning and Wednesday night and small group ministries, work together to produce disciples of Jesus Christ who are equipped for daily living. Perhaps you would consider joining us as we journey together.
